#91110 Contessa bass

Mike was kind enough to send these pics of his Contessa bass, the first Bartell I’ve seen with the Contessa name on it.  This bass has a few unusual features on it such as the slotted tailpiece and the short horns.  Mike says that it had an adjustable metal bridge originally, similar to the free-floating adjustable bridge used on archtop guitars, but this has been lost and replaced with a wooden bridge as shown in the pics.  All in all, quite the unusual bass.
