This is the bass that started me on my Bartell kick: Hohner fretless #1042.  This is a direct ancestor of the Acoustic Black Widow guitar and bass. It’s pretty much the standard Bartell fretless bass although there are some minor structural differences compared to the Bartell fretted bass also shown on this site that I’ll document soon.
