I’ve put together this site to help keep the memory of Bartell guitars and basses alive. Bartell, Inc was located in Riverside, CA in the 1960’s and built many fine instruments under the watch of president Ted Peckels and master craftsman Paul Barth. Their products seem to be fairly rare today, especially guitars. The most commonly seen instrument are the fretless basses they built and rebranded for Hohner. You can read more information on Bartell history by clicking on the ABOUT link at the right.
My friend, Paul Brett, has a book out now about the recently publicized Bartell fretless guitar that was once owned by George Harrison and was played by John Lennon and Harrison on some classic Beatles tracks. It also has a lot of Bartell history, pics, and other great information. You can place your order for it HERE!!
